Labor and Employment
There are a wide variety of labor and employment claims under California law. Most of these claims fall into one of two broad categories: wage and hour claims and Fair Employment and Housing Act ("FEHA") claims. In general, wage and hour claims are based on violations of the California Labor Code and the Industrial Welfare Commission Wage Orders, while discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and termination claims are based on violations of the FEHA. There are also protections under the law for employees who report unlawful conduct by their employers or by others.
