A single-vehicle crash reportedly took place in Patterson on Sunday, January 17th. California Highway Patrol is the lead investigator of the case. The incident happened at around 11:30 a.m. on Del Puerto Canyon Road, near Diablo Grande Parkway. A motorcycle suddenly veered off-control while it was about to make a turn and crashed into the road divider. The rider of the motorcycle was left with fatal injuries and by the time the paramedics arrived, had already succumbed to their injuries. They were identified as a 49-year-old man from San Jose. Authorities are still looking into what may have caused the crash to happen.

Can Motorcycle Crash Victims File Personal Injury Claims?

If you are a victim of a motorcycle crash, whether or not you can file a personal injury claim depends on whether you are the person who is driving the motorcycle. If you happen to be the driver, then you cannot file a personal injury claim – unless your accident was caused by the negligent actions of another party.
