Bakersfield Motorcycle Collision Leaves 12-Year-Old Boy Dead

On Wednesday, October 21st, a two-vehicle crash involving two motorcyclists occurred in Bakersfield. Bakersfield Police Department is the lead investigator in the crash. The incident happened on Kern Canyon Road at approximately 6:45 p.m. One of the motorcyclists was pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as a 12-year-old boy named Bruce Leon Cross. The other motorcyclist sustained some moderate injuries. They were identified as a 51-year-old male. He was brought to the hospital for further treatment. It is unknown which driver was at fault. Nevertheless, authorities found that one or both of the motorcycles involved were driving above the speed limit.
