Big Rig Crash Killed 23-Year-Old Female Pedestrian

A female pedestrian was hit in a crash involving a big rig on Monday, October 12th. California Highway Patrol (CHP) is the lead investigator in the case. They were able to find out that the accident occurred at 8:00 p.m. on Highway 58, near Cottonwood Road. The female pedestrian was crossing the road on the highway when the big rig crashed her. She was pronounced dead at the scene. CHP later identified her as Layloni Ariel Ashely Rue, age 23.
