A semi-trailer was involved in a traffic incident on Monday, January 5th in Los Angeles. California Highway Patrol was the first responder at the scene of the crash. The incident happened on Interstate 5, near Whitaker Summitt, just past 12:30 p.m. A Walmart semi-trailer carrying goods was overturned when the driver lost control of the vehicle while traveling north on the I-5. The semi-trailer fell 50-feet down into a nearby dirt mound. One person was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene, while another was injured and transported to the hospital for treatment. The identities of either victim have not yet been disclosed by the authorities. Several lanes of the I-5 were closed while an investigation into the crash was ongoing.
