Pedestrian Dead from Crash in Huntington Beach

November 16, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

A pedestrian was hit by a car in Huntington Beach on Sunday, November 1st. Huntington Beach Police Department is the lead investigator for the case. The accident happened between Hamilton Avenue and Brookhurst Street at around 6:30 p.m. The pedestrian, a male of unknown age, was crossing the road when he was hit by the car. He sustained severe injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on arrival. Authorities did not disclose his identity.

Who Pays for Pedestrian’s Medical Bills After A Car Accident?

If a pedestrian was injured after a car accident, the person responsible for paying the medical bills should be the at-fault driver. However, unless the pedestrian chose to pursue a claim to ensure that their rights are being met, then the at-fault driver would rarely voluntarily compensate the victim. Thus, it is crucial to start a personal injury claim after receiving medical treatment for your car accident injuries.
