Seven Children Dead After Two Car Crash in California Sets Vehicle on Fire

January 5, 2021 Alan Ahdoot

Many terrible car accidents often occur around the Christmas and New Year’s time of the year. The reason why most of these accidents occur is that individuals and families are usually traveling. Sometimes when people are traveling, they tend to overexert themselves by driving an extended amount of time without stopping for rest. The second possible cause of accidents around this time of the season is people who decide to drive under the influence of drugs and alcohol. On New Year’s Day in Bakersfield, a horrible crash occurred on California’s rural highways. This crash was so terrible that nine people were dead and out of these nine people, seven of them with children. The California Highway Patrol gave the details of this incident stating that the exact Highway that happened on Highway 33.

The officer in charge of the investigation, Mr. Rory Marks, reported to the Los Angeles Times that this accident was a head-on collision and happened around 8 p.m. on New Year’s Day. The officer also stated that the accident occurred an hour and a half north of Bakersfield. The vehicle involved in the accident was a 2013 Dodge and the driver of the Dodge seems to have veered from the southbound lane into the northbound lane. The apparent driver of this 2013 Dodge was a male who was 28 years old. When the driver drove into the northbound lane, he hit a Ford head-on carrying seven children and one adult.  This incident was so bad that the victims of the accident have yet to be identified. The bodies have not been identified because the Ford instantly went into a blaze after the collision occurred.

Everybody who was in the Ford vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. This type of case is the type of case that needs to be investigated and everyone inside that Ford vehicle needs justice done on their behalf. If this justice is not in the form of criminal prosecution, it should be monetary compensation. An experienced law firm should be contacted to represent the victims of this case to ensure that the insurance company adequately compensates their families. An experienced and knowledgeable law firm is needed in this case because the investigating officer reported that there are no witnesses that even saw what exactly happened. The families of the victims, in this case, should contact the experienced motor vehicle accident law firm of Adamson Ahdoot. Adamson Ahdoot will fight for the victim’s rights in every way possible to ensure that justice is served, including monetary compensation.
