A single-vehicle crash was reported to occur in Bakersfield on Wednesday, October 21st. California Highway Patrol was the first on the scene. They received information about the crash just after 6:00 a.m. A truck was found to have veered off-road while traveling near Snow Road and Fruitvale Avenue. It went into a nearby water channel. No one was injured although the truck was stuck in the channel and further assistance was required for removal.

Can Improperly Maintained Road Surroundings Be the Cause of Your Car Accident?

According to an NHTSA report, road surroundings can cause single-vehicle crashes. And this is in a normal, well-maintained situation. Thus, a badly maintained road surrounding can definitely trigger a single-vehicle crash or even a multi-vehicle crash. So, if you suspect that your car accident was caused by a badly maintained road, what can you do? If you are injured, you can choose to file a personal injury claim against the state or local government agency that is supposed to be responsible for highway management.
