December 25, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

A single-vehicle crash was reported in Chatsworth on Sunday, December 27th. Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Fire Department, and Ventura County Fire Department were the first responders at the scene. The incident happened on Santa Susana Pass just before 6:00 p.m. The vehicle plunged 70-feet down into a nearby hillside when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by two people – one passenger and one driver. Both survived the crash due to their seatbelts. One person was mildly injured and was sent to the hospital for treatment. Another refused treatment. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Can You File A Personal Injury Claim If Your Injuries Were Not Treated?

If you were involved in a car accident and chose not to go to the hospital for treatment, you may find that you will face some issues when you start a claim against the at-fault driver’s auto insurance provider. This is because it is generally advised to get treatment at the hospital so that the process for any claim will be easier since there is recorded information for medical personnel about your condition. If you have already chosen not to go to the hospital for treatment and is planning to pursue a legal claim against the at-fault driver nonetheless, we advise you to contact a lawyer immediately.
