Vehicle Fire Reported After Two-Vehicle Crash in Silver Lake

A two-vehicle crash was reported on Wednesday, January 6th in Silver Lake. California Highway Patrol was the lead investigator at the scene of the crash. The incident happened just past 3:00 a.m. on Golden State Freeway near Fletcher Drive. A small sedan collided with a semi-trailer while heading state on the freeway and blew up in flames. The semi-trailer was carrying fuel, however, no further explosion was reported. Eyewitnesses reported that several occupants of the sedan managed to escape. It is unknown if anyone was left trapped inside the vehicle and if there were any injuries or deaths from the incident. Several lanes of Golden State Freeway were closed while authorities are investigating the crash.
