Can You File A Personal Injury Claim on Behalf of A Victim?

Whether or not you can file a personal injury claim on behalf of a car accident victim depends on your relationship with them. Are you related or bound in a legally recognizable relationship with the victim? If so, then you can pursue a personal injury claim on their behalf – but only if they have chosen to give power of attorney to you. Since the victim is still alive, it is generally advised that they file for the claim themselves, unless the victim is not of the age of majority. If you’re having troubles with your car accident situation and require the aid of legal counsel, call us today at (800) 310-1606 to have a discussion with one of our lawyers.
