On Monday, January 18th, a single-vehicle crash reportedly took place near Lake Mathews. California Highway Patrol was the first responder at the scene. The incident happened just before 6:00 p.m. between Tine Mine Road and La Sierra Avenue. A Honda Razor all-terrain-vehicle suddenly slammed into a nearby boulder/ The driver, a 22-year-old man named Vicente Brambila was fatally injured from the crash. The vehicle had one passenger, Brambila’s friend who survived the crash with minor injuries. Authorities are still conducting an investigation of the crash.
