Her accident occurred between Warner Avenue and Sceptre Lane. She was heading east at around 6:30 p.m. when she lost control of her steering and fell to the ground. Can Bicycle Riders Claim Insurance Coverage After An Accident?

Yes, they can, but what the insurance can cover may differ depending on what insurance they have. For example, a bicycle rider who doesn’t have bicycle insurance but has medical insurance can claim coverage for medical treatment. However, if another party was injured in the same accident and a personal injury claim was filed against the bicycle rider, then the payment for that claim will be done out-of-pocket. If the bicycle rider has bicycle insurance, then it may be covered depending on the insurance policy. Also, bicycle riders have the option to pursue a personal injury claim against another party if this party was liable for the riders’ injuries.
