A pedestrian was struck by a car in Santa Clara on Wednesday, November 4th. Santa Clara Police Department is the first responder at the scene. The incident happened just before 4:30 p.m., near Mission College Boulevard and Agnew Road. The pedestrian, a 54-year-old man, was walking on Montague Expressway when he was struck by a white 2017 Honda Accord. He was accompanied by a female of unknown age. The driver of the Honda lost control of his vehicle while heading south on Montague. He was working as a ride-share driver when the incident happened. The male pedestrian was fatally injured from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The female pedestrian and the Honda driver were uninjured. Authorities have ruled out alcohol or drug intoxication as a cause of the crash.
