A 58-year-old man died after a crash involving his food delivery van and another box van on Monday, October 26th in Bakersfield. California Highway Patrol was one of the first responders at the scene. The crash happened within the Oildale area on Manor Street, near Felton Street. The man, who was identified as Bobby Lee Bullard, was off-loading products from his vehicle, a Ford food delivery van, when the other vehicle, a Hino box van, struck him. Bullard was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigation of the crash found that the Hino box van driver was not driving recklessly or being negligent.

Can You Still File A Personal Injury Claim If The Driver Wasn’t Found Negligent?

Yes, you can. If you were injured in a car crash yet the investigation found the driver not negligent, you can still pursue a personal injury claim nevertheless. This is because your injury arises from the crash, and if you can prove that the driver was negligent, despite the result of the investigation, then you have the chance of having your claim approved.
