Car Thief Killed Car Owner in Hit-and-Run Incident

A hit-and-run incident occurred near Melinda Circle on Tuesday, September 22nd. A car thief was in the process of stealing a parked car in the area, when the owner of the car, a 33-year-old discovered them.

By the time the owner arrived, the car thief had already succeeded in breaking into the car and they immediately tried to escape. While rushing to drive away, the car owner was struck by the vehicle. The owner was pronounced dead at the scene and was later identified as a 33-year-old man named Jose DeJesus Berrelleza.

The thief left behind the stolen vehicle in Anaheim and is currently being pursued by the police. Authorities have arrested several individuals who are under suspicion for the crime.
