Driver Involved in Claremont Accident Sentenced to 16 Years Imprisonment

A traffic incident in Claremont in November last year ended with the at-fault driver’s conviction for voluntary manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon. The driver, Sandra Marie Wicksted, a 63-year-old woman from Claremont, pleaded no contest for the incident, where one bicyclist, a 54-year-old woman named Leslie Pray, was killed after being run over by Wicksted’s 1996 Mercury Tracer in Mills Avenue. Wicksted is also facing charges for the attempted murder of two other bicyclists present at the scene. It is unknown whether these bicyclists were also injured. Wicksted was also injured in the incident. She is sentenced to 16 years of imprisonment for her crimes.
