DUI Car Collision in Long Beach Killed Passenger

A car collision was reported to have taken place in Long Beach on Thursday, October 1st. The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. The male driver, identified as Chhoeup Khim, age 51, was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was driving his 1999 Toyota Solara when he crashed into several parked vehicles in the vicinity of Orange Avenue and 20th Street. Khim had minor injuries from the accident, but his passenger, a 41-year-old man named Chap Choun, was severely injured and died in hospital several days later. Khim is currently under arrest for vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.
