On Tuesday, September 22nd, a semi-truck was upturned while traveling west on Hart Flat Road. California Highway Patrol was the first responder at the scene. The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. The semi-truck was transporting 33,000 lbs of edible goods. The accident didn’t cause any injuries or deaths. As a result of the incident, most of the lanes on eastbound Highway 58 were closed.

Can An Employee be Sued for A Car Accident During Work?

If you are an employee and you caused a car accident while traveling in a vehicle on behalf of an employer, then you might be at risk of getting sued. However, that is a rare situation. The more common legal action taken by victims would be to sue your employer instead. Thus, when a car accident happens while you are working, you need to immediately contact your employer. Their legal department would then be able to start taking the necessary actions.

Nevertheless, if you think that your circumstances might cause you to be at the receiving end of a lawsuit, you need to contact a legal representative outside your company. We can provide a free initial consultation regarding your case, available 24/7, which you can claim by calling (866) 698-2306.
