Helicopter Crashed USC Hospital Building

November 22, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

A helicopter was reported to have crashed into Keck Hospital of USC on Friday, November 6th. The Los Angeles Fire Department was the first responder at the scene. The incident happened around noon. The helicopter was a private ambulance owned by Prime Healthcare Air Transportation, a company based in Ontario. Three people, including the pilot, were occupying the helicopter at the time of the crash. They were arriving at the hospital to deliver a heart donation need for transplantation. However, the helicopter crashed while trying to alight. The pilot had minor injuries from the crash while the other two occupants were uninjured. No one else was injured from the crash. An investigation into the crash is still ongoing.

Can You File A Claim if You Were Injured As A Helicopter Passenger?

With air ambulances on the rise, it isn’t impossible for a mishap to occur and passengers to get injured from a helicopter accident. So, if you are an injured helicopter passenger, what can you do to ensure that your injuries’ treatment is covered by the at-fault party? Well, usually, in this case, you need to get in touch with the pilot’s employer, if the person who was responsible for the helicopter accident is the pilot. You need to get in touch with an attorney next. If you’d like to consult your case for free with one of our experienced accident attorneys, call us at (800) 310-1606 today.
