Motorcycle Crash in 14 Freeway Injured One Person

November 3, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

On Friday, October 23rd, a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle was reported to have occurred on 14 Freeway, near Soledad Canyon Road. Los Angeles County Fire Department was one of the first responders at the scene. The accident is estimated to occur just after 2:15 p.m. The motorcycle was occupied only by one person, who had injuries of unknown severity. Nevertheless, the individual required further medical treatment since they were transported to the nearest hospital. Several lanes of Soledad Canyon Road were temporarily closed while officials investigated the scene and conducted clean-up.

Can Motorcycle Riders File A Claim to Auto Insurance After Single-Vehicle Crash?

Yes, they can. Motorcycle riders who live in California must have auto insurance, but what the coverage can include will differ. Commonly, however, most motorcycle auto insurance will cover any injury caused during a crash, be it single-vehicle or multi-vehicle. They also generally include provisions that allow victims to claim damages. What they don’t usually offer, by default, is any claim related to any physical damages done to your motorcycle. Because of this, it is best to check your insurance policy to ensure which applies to your case.
