A multi-vehicle crash was reported to have taken place in Santa Ana’s 5 Freeway this Friday, September 18th. California Highway Patrol received information that the crash occurred around 10 p.m. An SUV and a motorcycle were reported to have been involved in the crash near Main Street, alongside two other yet to be unidentified vehicles. At least one person was killed as a result of the crash. The investigation into the crash is still ongoing. Some parts of the 5 Freeway lanes around Main Street are temporarily closed due to the accident.

How Do You File Personal Injury Claims in a Multi-Vehicle Accident?

When trying to file a personal injury claim against another driver in a multi-vehicle accident, you must be aware that the process will be significantly more complex than a two-vehicle accident. One reason is due to the longer investigation process. The number of parties involved means that authorities would require a longer amount of time to establish who was the party that bears the most fault. Another reason for the increased difficulty, compared to two-vehicle cases, is the involvement of multiple legal representatives alongside multiple insurance providers if applicable. Each party would want to process their damages as quickly as possible, which means insurance and legal representatives would be involved at roughly the same period of time. However, just because it will be harder, doesn’t mean it’s impossible for you to smoothly process your personal injury claim.
