Multiple Traffic Incidents Reported in Long Beach

September 30, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

Several traffic accidents occurred on Long Beach on Friday, September 29th, and Saturday, September 30th. Long Beach Fire Department and Long Beach Police Department were the authorities at both scenes.

The first accident occurred near Cherry Avenue and 45th Street on Friday. The accident was a solo automobile accident involving a 2002 Subaru driven by an 18-year-old male driver. He was driving south on Cherry Avenue when he suddenly veered off road and crashed the median strip. It then spun out of control before finally colliding with a nearby tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second accident took place on Saturday, just past midnight at Pacific Coast Highway. A pick-up truck that was driven by a 40-year-old man struck the back of a tractor-trailer that was driving past a green light. The pick-up truck was traveling at high speeds. The driver, which was known to be a 40-year-old man, succumbed to his fatal injuries.

Should You File A Personal Injury Claim If You Were Injured in a Car Crash?

This depends on your circumstances. If you feel that the driver involved was engaging in behaviors that are deemed as negligible, then you should definitely file a claim against them. You can also take action against them if you sustain damages that were not covered by either your insurance or the at-fault driver’s insurance.
