A single-vehicle crash was reported in Newport Beach on Saturday, January 23rd. Newport Beach Police Department was present at the scene of the accident. The crash occurred just after 11:00 p.m. on West Coast Highway. A silver Mustang suddenly crashed into a commercial area. The driver was severely injured and was transported to a Santa Ana hospital for treatment. The driver was identified as Zackary Topolewski-Jury, age 21. He was the only occupant of the vehicle. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday. Authorities are still conducting an investigation of the crash.
