Pedestrian Killed in Cypress Park Car Accident

A vehicular incident was reported in Cypress Park on Friday, January 1st. California Highway Patrol is the lead investigator for the crash. The incident happened on Golden State Freeway, near Pasadena Avenue, just past 11:00 p.m. A male pedestrian suddenly jumped in front of a 2020 Mercedes CLS450 and was struck by the vehicle, which was being driven by a 30-year-old man from Northridge.

He was accompanied by one passenger, a 29-year-old woman from Glendale. The pedestrian, who has yet to be identified, was fatally injured from the crash. The passenger of the Mercedes also sustained some injuries. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
