Pedestrians Injured After Vehicular Incident in Echo Park

Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in Echo Park on Saturday, December 26th. The Los Angeles Fire Department was the first responder at the scene, while the Los Angeles Police Department is the lead investigator for the case. The accident happened at about 9:30 p.m., near 1218 Sunset Boulevard. The two male pedestrians, whose identities were not disclosed by the authorities, were standing near a food truck when a sedan suddenly struck them both. Both men were severely injured and were sent to the nearest hospital for treatment. It is unknown whether the sedan’s occupants were also injured. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
