September 25, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

On Tuesday, September 22nd, a police pursuit ended with the suspect crashing into another vehicle. The incident occurred near Raymond Ave and Del Mar Blvd at Pasadena. The suspect, who was driving a white sedan, was being chased by the police for a gun-related disturbance.

While driving past an intersection, the suspect slammed their car into a passing SUV. Both the suspect and the victim stopped the vehicles after the incident. The suspect was immediately apprehended by the police. It is still unknown whether anyone was injured from the collision, although eyewitnesses report that both drivers left the vehicle seemingly unharmed.

Who Do You Sue In A Police Pursuit-Related Car Crash?

If you were a victim in a car crash that took place in the middle of a police pursuit, you might be wondering – who do you sue for damages, the officers or the suspects?

As the victim, you can choose to proceed with both. If you want to pursue a lawsuit against a law enforcement official, you should be prepared for a lengthy legal process. If the at-fault driver involved has insurance, you can file a claim to them, but there’s no guarantee that they will approve your claim since they might say that the police are to be blamed for the crash. In this type of circumstance, you need to consult legal counsel before choosing to take any action. We can provide a free consultation by phone, which you can claim through calling (866) 698-2306.
