Semi-trailer Multi-Vehicle Crash Reported on 134 Freeway

A semi-trailer carrying fuel oil was involved in a crash on Thursday, October 29th. California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles Fire Department were the first responders at the scene. They received news that a crash happened on 134 Freeway, near Toluca Lake, at about 5:43 a.m. The crash was reported to have been a multi-vehicle crash, although it is unknown how many vehicles were present at the scene. No one was injured from the crash, but the impact of the crash caused the fuel oil to spill on three lanes. It took nearly three hours for cleanup to be finished, and the lanes of 134 Freeway were closed during the process.

What Can You Do if You Were Involved in a Crash with A Semi-trailer?

If you were involved in a crash with a semi-trailer, regardless of your injury severity, it is best to immediately head to the hospital. That way, if any suits will be filed later on, you will have proof of medical examination post-crash as evidence for the damages that you want to claim. If the semi-trailer was operated by an employee who was performing work on behalf of their employer at the time of the crash, that any claim you should be making needs to be directed to their employer. Be sure to get their employer’s information before leaving the site of the crash, if possible.
