September 26, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

While traveling on Interstate 5, a vehicle suddenly veered off into a 400-feet drop on Wednesday, September 23rd. The vehicle was traveling north on Lake Hughes Road. The incident was reported to occur around 2:50 p.m. Los Angeles County Fire Department was the first responder at the scene.

A helicopter was dispatched to rescue the vehicle’s occupants. However, the only individual found in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The case will be handled by local law enforcement in Castaic. They are currently looking into what might have caused the accident.

Can Your Insurance Deny Your Claim After A Single-Vehicle Accident?

There are certain circumstances in a single-vehicle accident where your insurance will not award you damages. Usually, your claim will be rejected if you were driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Another probable cause is if criminal activity was a factor in the crash. It is also possible for the insurance provider to deny you if you broke the law during the accident, such as driving with a suspended license.

If your case did not include any of these elements, yet your claim was denied, you need to dispute this.
