Woman Dead in San Jose DUI Crash

A vehicular crash was reported on Sunday, January 10th in San Jose. California Highway Patrol was the first responder at the scene. The incident happened just before 10:00 p.m. on El Rancho Drive. A 2013 Volkswagen Golf was traveling above the speed limits when the vehicle struck an electric pole and a tree. Later, it was overturned and stopped in the middle of El Rancho Drive. The passenger of the vehicle, an unnamed 28-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 30-year-old man named Jesse Lemol Vong, was arrested for driving under the influence during the crash.
